Texas Tappers

Hello dear Family and Friends.

Today we toured some Natural Caverns about 30 miles from San Antonio Texas.. truly amazing!!!.....and then we played 9 holes of golf in a town called Comfort, TX.
Tomorrow am we are leaving Boerne, TX heading to Corpus Christi,TX on the Gulf of Mexico...about 200 miles from here!

We saw one flying bat while we were in the Caverns. Our guide...(the blonde gal in the red shirt in the photos) informed us that since they had a flood in 2007...the bats have migrated to caves nearby. They have estimated that there are about 2 million bats currently in the other caves. Personally I am quite pleased that they had moved on!!!

Nice to see Flowers!!!!...and butterflies!!

Our guide...red shirt..also 2 gals from Sask...on the trail down to the entrance to the Caverns

We've heard that the temp is quite warm at home!! The highest temp here is only about 19 degrees C...and the mornings are very cool. Hopefully, it will be warmer in Corpus Christi???

Tapper Trails to Texas

Hello dear family and friends.

We left Mesa, Arizona on Thurs. Nov. 11th. We spent 2 full days (about 500 miles each day) to drive to San Antonia Texas where we currently are staying in an RV park about 30 miles NW of San Antonio in a town called Boerne. Thurs night we stayed in El Paso,TX. There is not too much to see driving from Mesa to Boerne except....desert and Mtns. We stopped at a rest area about 20 miles south of Ft. Stockton, TX. The sign outside the rest area said.."Watch for Snakes." There was no roof over the toilet area...open to the sky. Nice ceramic tiles for snakes to sun themselves!! Linda slammed the toilet seat hard before sitting down!! We didn't rest there very long!!!

Today, ( Sat) we drove into San Antonio. What a beautiful city. We had a wonderful day. First we visited the site of the Alamo. Then we went to the Imax Movie about the Alamo. Davy Crockett didn't look at all like Fess Parker!! Ha! We spent hours enjoying the River Walk along the San Antonio River...had a boat ride...enjoyed dinner by the canal, and toured some of the shops.
Tomorrow after Church, Kim hopes to play Golf...and Linda hopes to do some Quilting.
We hope to travel South to Corpus Christie,TX on Mon or Tues. If the weather is nice we'll stay for a week and then move on to Nashville...Pennsylvania and home by Dec.2nd. It's hard to believe it's going to be Christmas so soon....this weather really messes with your mind!!Ha!
Missing you all. Love Kim and Linda

Tapper Trails @ Grand Canyon

Hello dear friends and family.
Today we visited the Grand Canyon. The temp range was 26 degrees F to 56 degrees F....in the beautiful sun. We haven't seen the full sun shining for days and days! It was wonderful.
It's hard to believe we're in Arizona with these temperatures. It's supposed to be 85 degrees F in Phoenix. We may be there next week?? We'll probably spend this weekend in Sedona, Arizona.
Once again..I think a picture is worth a thousand words.
Tomorrow, Kim and I plan to return to the Canyon and hike halfway down on the Bright Angel Trail. If we don't make it back up ....just remember, we're among the angels!! Ha!!
Love and Hugs to you all!
